Initially, the success of a collaboration between musicians with such different musical profiles and experience seemed unlikely even to the three founding members of the Colossus of Rhodes. However, the encounter between Mauro Fiero, a guitarist with a deep knowledge of analogue and pinkfloydian sounds, Gabriele Pezzoli, a pianist active in contemporary improvised music, and Brian Quinn, a drummer engaged in research into the rhythms of today's electronic music, immediately proved to be something more than the sum of the individual parts.
